I originally planned to make a post dedicated to my thoughts on the Election results from last Tuesday, but I think I'm kinda over it. Don't get me wrong, the results from both the Puerto Rican and American elections are both utter shite and I am still obviously not happy about them, but I think I've just reached the acceptance part of my grief at this point. I'm honestly just glad that I was able to use my right to vote for the first time ever, and I at least sleep well at night knowing that I voted for people that I knew were gonna bring change to my country, even if other people were led to believe otherwise... I think what's truly the most upsetting aspect of it all is how I know very well that Donald Trump and Jenniffer González both won their respective races on a basis of fear and panic towards the Left: communism, Venezuela, trans people, oh the whole right-wing shebang! It's so predictable and tiring. It's like we haven't moved on from the Red Scare! And that was like 40 years ago. The political pendulum has swung back to the Right, and it's a bit scary. Some people just can't fathom the fact that some ideals need to be left behind in the past.
Because of the Elections, work, and school, last week felt like it lasted a century. Today is my first proper day off in who-knows-how-long and I used it to watch a bunch of episodes of Kath & Kim! It's an Australian sitcom which I first heard about from the YouTube channel Novympia (which are also hilarious themselves) and it's so ridiculous I just live for it... It's been storming a whole bunch this past week so the temperatures have been fairly pleasant even a bit cold (for our standards at least)... I've found that I don't have to turn on the A/C as early these days! It's nice really, I can feel Christmas just around the corner now that we're well into November. My family and I went shopping for some Christmas decor recently and we (or I should say I cuz I paid for all of it...) ended up buying a new Christmas tree cuz the one we had was really skinny and the built-in lights got all fucked up cuz of our cat LMAO. I hope Christmas is nice this year!
I don't really have much else to say. It's really just been the same old same old. I really like Addison Rae's new song actually, I will mention that... That's gotta be the shock of the century, that Addison Rae actually makes good music! Kinda wish "Aquamarine" had the popularity of "Diet Pepsi" but alas... hey at least it went #1 on JUANOGAYO! Anyways, that's all. TTYL!
