JUANO EMPLOYED ERA SOON? (also I can vote now yasss + I GOT SCAMMED)

June 5, 2024

It's about midnight, and I know I'm not gonna finish this post before that so I debated on whether to date this for the 5th or the 6th. I decided on the former because 1) it looks more "impressive" that I've posted on here 2 days in a row and 2) it sounds nicer for me to say "today I did this and that" and yadayada... This does not matter at ALL in reality but of course it's something that I'd actively think about and consider.

But enough of that stupid shit, let me tell you about my day... Maybe you don't care about that either but if you don't then why are you here ns? 😭 HENNIWAYS... I had a pretty eventful day today actually... Firstly, I went and got my voter's license for the first timeeeeee and I'm sooooo excited because of how important I think it is to make my voice be heard on something as important as choosing our country's political leaders. And by that I mean the ones in Puerto Rico solely because despite being American citizens Puerto Ricans cannot vote for the US president. 😍😍😍 Gotta love colonialism! But I'm kinda glad because the two choices for presidents this year are yet again two incompetent, heartless, senile demons so... prayers for all my American friends. 🙏🏼 If it was up to ME... I would just pull a French Revolution 2.0 up in this bitch but I'm too lazy for that and also I'm not trying to go to prison. (FBI if u read this this is a JOKE. kinda.) I'm really hoping that this year we see a change in the political landscape of PR. Year after year it's the same 2 dumbass parties in power and frankly? I'm sick of it! As is everyone else. We need to put an end to this shit y'all!! So if you haven't registered to vote go ahead and do so and let's all rock the mothafuckin' vote this NOVEMBER 5TH ladies! Mark ur calendars! 📅

After that me and my friend stopped for coffee in a café located in the floor below, but not before stopping to talk to a man who had RANDOMLY called my name and asked me to come see him after I was done with the license stuff. Ngl... bitch I was scared. He was a security guard and the building had a bunch of people in it so maybe that fear was a bit unfounded, but still I was curious and confused. Turns out he was just one of my mom's longtime friends who had recognized me but I hadn't recognized him until I saw the name on his badge. We talked a bit and I introduced him to my friend, and he talked about how smart I am (💋) and how he knew me since I was a kid. After that I felt so relieved cuz I genuinely did not know what else it could've been. Oh and some lady in the voter office (however u say it) recognized me as my mom's son too so like... I guess my mom just knows everyone here LMFAO

After that, we headed to a music store that I was excited to visit because I wanted to check and see if they were hiring and I wanted to also support a local music store since there are literally none. We arrived and they told me they weren't hiring which wasn't surprising. I didn't wanna leave empty handed so I decided to pick up (what appeared to be) a copy of Ednita Nazario's Lo que son las cosas, specifically since the album wasn't on Spotify.

When I opened it in my friend's car... hunni. I was GAGGED. and not in a good way. It was very clear it was a pirated copy because of how jank the CD label looked and the fact that there wasn't an actual booklet, but rather a picture of the album cover. I was obviously disappointed but I thought that maybe it would at least still have the songs listed. I put it away in my Ayu bag (hehe) and then we decided to go for an early lunch (so basically brunch). We went to another café that's located near my uni and ate there, I left them my resumé there too just in case, and then went to the next place I was gonna try to apply to, a call center. My friend stayed in the car since we both assumed I would just leave my resumé there too and they would call me to schedule an interview if they liked it. What ended up happening is that they literally interviewed me right there and then which is nice I guess since I got spared from having to wait for an interview date. Overall, I think I did pretty well considering how I wasn't expecting an actual impromptu interview the same day and they said they'll write to me after they go over my resumé and shit. FINGERS CROSSED JUARBZ! 🤞🏼 After that I made my way back to the car and when I got in my friend told me she had put in the CD I got to test it... and that it wouldn't play. Girl. GIRL. I was starting to get upset now because now I'm beginning to think these motherfuckers sold me a blank CD for $10! When I got home I tested it on my own CD player, and it did play... except that it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ALBUM.

HUNNI. I'm mad AF. What makes this all the more upsetting is how excited I was thinking "oh a local music store!" and how eager I was to support it knowing the absolute lack (or complete absence I should say) of them in the whole island, let alone in my particular city. I don't know if whether or not I should report them, because I paid for one thing and got something completely different and I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else, but something tells me they're not gonna stay open for that long. So idk. I'll have to update y'all if I do end up doing something about it. I didn't even wanna place the CD with the rest of my collection HKFSDKGBSKGNSDKBJMSDNC but whatevsss hopefully I'm employed soon so I can have my own money and get LEGIT CDs online. Speaking of which, I might add a page on here dedicated to my music collection so stay tuned for that~

I didn't sleep at all last night because of how late I had woken up the previous day and how early I had to be up today. If I do get this job though, I'm gonna have to fix that. Regardless, when I got home and my friend left I spent some time on my phone before crashing for a few hours... and now I'm up writing this yayyyy!! ANYWAYS I really do hope I get this job because despite the fact that at the end of the day it's still a job and I hate not being able to spend all my time doing nothing productive (like now!) it does seem like a more chill job than the one I used to have. I'm a little scared as to how it's all going to work once classes start up again but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it... As for now though, that's all! Good night everyone~

xoxo,
